At most schools, middle school starts in 6th grade. But at Tennessee Nature Academy, we begin in 5th on purpose. We’ve created a space where students can ease into new routines, form friendships, and build the habits and confidence they’ll carry through middle and high school.

Why Families Choose TNA for 5th Grade
  • A Strong Start For Middle And High School
Students who join in 5th grade begin building relationships and confidence early and are automatically enrolled in our high school program.

  • Middle School Is The Perfect Time To Take Risks
TNA students get outdoors, try new things, and learn to lead while they’re still in a developmental window where curiosity comes naturally.

  • Sibling Enrollment Priority
Families love our model, and if one child enrolls, a younger sibling is guaranteed a spot too.

Our high school program is oriented towards immediate entry into the workforce and AP classes for early college access.

9th Grade:
Agriscience And Adventure

Just as students reach the age where they’re seeking more responsibility, this course gives them the chance to do a school project that matters. In Agriscence, students learn about farming and growing food, and also do the work themselves by managing our schoolyard farm.

10th–12th Grade:
Choose Your Pathway

Students dive into one of three concentrations that combine academic courses with meaningful, hands-on experiences.

  • Animal Science
  • Agribusiness
  • Natural Resource Management
