Tennessee Nature Academy believes that effective learning takes place when students solve authentic problems through mastering and applying disciplinary knowledge and skills. Project-based learning helps students grow confident in their abilities to think critically, design creatively, and work collaboratively. Our students approach new academic challenges with a sense of adventure. Learning at Tennessee Nature Academy takes place within and beyond traditional classroom spaces, as students build and apply literacy and mathematics skills in real-world settings. Our emphasis on nature-based play and learning serves the dual purpose of encouraging healthy lifestyles while giving students the opportunity to be curious and explore.
